About the Role 

The Research Fellow will focus on at least one aspect of the Ehrenberg Bass Institute for Marketing Science research agenda as directed by the Director of the Institute. The research will be innovative and collaborative and will help to develop a global industry and academic reputation for UniSA Business in this area. This position will be expected to engage in high quality end-user research projects, to win research funding independently and to produce high quality industry relevant research outputs.

The Ehrenberg-Bass Institute for Marketing Science is an internationally renowned centre for research in marketing. Core Responsibilities 

  • Lead and support research activities, in line with the Ehrenberg-Bass Institute’s research agenda
  • Attract, support and contribute to the supervision of HDR students and project staff in research related activities
  • Contribute to the dissemination of new knowledge by drafting and publishing corporate sponsor reports, abstracts, scientific papers and other instruments providing accounts of research undertaking and the findings observed
  • Contribute to a safe and ethical working environment by complying with human ethics, animal ethics, privacy and other appropriate guidelines

Essential Skills and Experience 

  • A Doctorate in the relevant discipline area of services marketing
  • A demonstrated capacity to identify and conduct high quality research, evidenced in publications preferably in highly-ranked refereed marketing journals
  • The ability to initiate and develop research proposals and submissions to obtain Category 2 and 3 research funding from organisations
  • Good organisational skills and experience in managing projects with multiple priorities, in monitoring workflow and in managing resources to meet objectives and deadlines
  • High-level oral and written communication and liaison skills, with the ability to present information effectively and clearly to a wide audience, including senior marketing executives at major global corporations
