At Haileybury, we are leading the way in redefining education and are seeking an innovative and people-focused professional to join the Risk & Compliance team in a part-time (0.6 FTE), ongoing role based at Keysborough.
The Return-to-Work Coordinator plays a pivotal role in ensuring a safe workplace by providing early intervention injury management, facilitating injured workers’ return to work, ensuring that Haileybury’s duties relating to worker’s compensation are met, and actively contributing to injury prevention strategies
Key responsibilities include:
- Injury Management and Return to Work:
- Administer Haileybury's injury management and return-to-work processes per legislative requirements, providing guidance and training to managers.
- Support injured employees with early intervention strategies, return-to-work plans, and consistent follow-up with managers.
- Workers' Compensation and Insurance Claims:
- Manage workers' compensation and general insurance claims with the insurance agent, ensuring compliance, cost monitoring, and employee support through the claims process.
- Participate in investigations and conciliation proceedings when necessary.
- Non-Work-Related Injuries, Illnesses, and Reporting:
- Assist managers in handling non-work-related injuries and illnesses, developing care plans as appropriate.
- Maintain comprehensive injury records and provide scheduled reports on workplace injuries, claims, and return-to-work updates to senior management
About You:
At Haileybury we are seeking exceptional people. We are looking for a team player who brings the following skills and experience:
- Solid understanding of injury management and return-to-work legislation, particularly the Workers Compensation Act in Victoria, with experience in RTW advisory or coordination roles.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office, and the ability to engage and influence stakeholders respectfully across all levels.
- Familiarity with confidentiality and privacy standards, appropriate behaviour for working with children, and possession of a valid WWCC, National Criminal History Check eligibility, and own vehicle for campus travel.
