Postdoctoral Scientist / Senior Research Assistant
About you
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cellular and molecular biology, with knowledge of heart disease pathophysiology and repair mechanisms. Experience with cardiac fibroblasts and/or mechano-sensing pathways through Piezo1 and Piezo2 is highly desirable. Proficiency in advanced cell and molecular biology techniques, high-resolution microscopy, flow cytometry/FACS, mouse genetic models is essential. The candidate should thrive in a highly collaborative group.
Start the New Year with a brand new opportunity!
The role
You'll work in a close collaboration with the Mechanobiology and Developmental & Regenerative Biology Labs, focusing on cellular and molecular mechanisms of heart disease and repair. Your key area will involve cardiac fibroblasts' roles in heart processes, emphasizing mechano-sensing pathways through Piezo1 and Piezo2. You will use novel technologies and animal models to explore therapeutic approaches for cardiovascular diseases, utilizing advanced cell biology and biophysical techniques, high-resolution microscopy, flow cytometry/FACS, mouse genetic models, gene modification tools, and single-cell and spatial transcriptomics.
What we will trust you with
