About the role:
The position of Clinical Research Coordinator involves the coordination and management of clinical trials with people with respiratory disorders. The position will be based at St Vincent’s Centre for Applied Medical Research. As a resource for assigned projects, the Clinical Research Coordinator may be required to coordinate or case manage patients undergoing care within a research project, manage project specific resources, ensure treatment and data collection is in compliance with the Protocol, International Conference on Harmonisation - Good Clinical Practice (ICH-GCP), Australian regulations and privacy laws. The Clinical Research Coordinator will work as part of a team to improve access to research investment for patients and the Institution through high quality research practice and data management.

About you:
We are seeking a skilled and energetic Clinical Research Coordinator (Respiratory Medicine) who possess a passion for person centred care. We welcome applications from people who are able to demonstrate their experience related to the selection criteria.

Selection Criteria:

  • Personal integrity and demonstrated commitment to the Philosophy, Mission and Values of Mary Aikenhead Ministries and St Vincent’s Health Australia.
  • Tertiary education in Health Sciences research, Nursing, Allied health, Medicine, Pharmacy, or related health discipline.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and across the interdisciplinary team and multiple care settings.
  • Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development and a willingness to learn.
  • Demonstrated computer literacy with email and an electronic patient record system and a demonstrated knowledge of databases and management.
  • Demonstrated effective interpersonal skills, including excellent written and verbal communication skills with a high attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated experience as a Clinical Research Coordinator and evidence of working in clinical research or trials that includes the integration of theoretical knowledge and clinical skills or the coordination of clinical care, critical thinking, data analysis and research principles including Good Clinical Practice.
  • Demonstrated effective time management skills and ability to prioritise competing workloads within a complex environment.
