Northern Territory Minister for Education and Training Dr Chris Burns has announced a territory wide roll out of the national curriculum across all schools.

 

The announcement comes after the Northern Territory Government allocated $850,000 to ensure the ‘smooth’ implementation of the new curriculum.

 

Phasing in of the national curriculum will begin with mathematics and english during 2011 which will be ready for implementation in 2012. Science and history will be phased in over 2011 and 2012 to be implemented by 2013.
