Digital Education Revolution review released, ICT reforms on track
The Federal Government has kicked off a review into its proposed $2.1 billion Digital Education Revolution program, which should see the integration of new information and communication technologies in Australian schools.
Through consultation with education authorities, key stakeholders, teachers and parents, Dandolopartners Pty Ltd conducted the review to evaluate the impacts of the DER on school leadership, infrastructure, teacher capability and learning resources. The DER plan is already claiming some success, achieving a goal to provide a 1:1 student to computer ratio in years 9 to 12.
The Program Review seeks to assess DER’s progress on current targets, and gain insight into possibilities for the future. A full report is available from the Education Department website, here.
